About Earl Gossett and the Traditional Bowhunter’s Journal TV Show & Video Series
Earl Gossett got his first traditional bow at the age of 12. It was a Bear "Little Bear" and Earl has been involved in Traditional Bowhunting for 30 years.He has harvested numerous trophies from small to big game with his bow across North America and Canada.
His past outdoor experiences includes running trap lines at a very young age, fishing, and he recalls following his father, a very avid rifle hunter, for white tail deer in the Northern Michigan and Kentucky area better known to the Native American Indian as the happy hunting grounds.He grew up watching his hero Fred Bear on "The American Sportsman Show.”
Earl's other interests include writing and videography. He has published articles and pictures in Michigan Traditional Bowhunter magazine, Kentucky Bowhunter magazine and Florida Traditional Bowhunter magazine. He has also been seen on Kentucky Afield TV show as well as seen on the Sportsman’s Channel on Rut & Strut TV show.
Earl has had the opportunity to hunt with well-known bowhunters like Barry Wensel, G. Fred Asbell, and Tim Farmer the host of Kentucky Afield. His most recent interview was with Fred Eichler host from Easton’s Reality Bowhunting, which is seen on the Outdoor Channel. This interview will be shown on an upcoming episode on Traditional Bowhunter’s Journal.
Currently Earl is the President of Northern Kentucky Bowhunters Association where his work has helped to promote the Archery Heritage. He has worked with Roy Grimes, the Director of the National Archery in the Schools Program to raise money to place the NASP program in several Northern Kentucky Schools. Earl is also on the board of Directors for United Bowhunters of Kentucky as the Fifth District Director and a he is a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Committee Member of Northern Kentucky Area Chapter.
Earl also works hunting expos each year like the Cincinnati Hunting Expo, the Jim Strader Hunting Expo in Louisville Kentucky, as well as the Bass Pro Shop’s Hunting Classic each year in the Cincinnati Ohio area. He is now working on his TV Show and Video Series that will is aired on the Insight Cable Network in Northern Kentucky.
